Job summary

Quantum Automation Pte Ltd is seeking a Hardware/Firmware Test Engineer to develop and execute comprehensive test plans for firmware and hardware configurations. You will perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing while debugging issues with schematics, logs, and measurements.

Documentation and collaboration across product teams are essential. Entry-level candidates are welcome, with diploma in engineering and hands-on workshop skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering relevant to hardware/firmware.
• 1+ years in hardware/firmware testing, integration, or prototyping.
• Entry level welcome and ability to learn quickly.
• Hands-on workshop skills for electronics and lab use.
• Experience with testing methodologies for precision instruments.
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product and system requirements.

• Perform functional, integration, regression, stress, performance, reliability, and boundary testing.

• Validate firmware functionality across different hardware configurations and operating conditions.

• Debug hardware and firmware issues using schematics, datasheets, logs, traces, and measurement data.

• Maintain test documentation, test reports, validation records, and automated test results.

• Support product qualification, design verification, manufacturing testing, and production release activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent relevant discipline.

• 1+ years of proven experience in hardware/firmware design, integration, prototyping, and testing.

• Entry Level is welcome.

• Practical workshop skills (e.g., fine-pitch soldering, laboratory equipment usage).

• Familiarity with testing methodologies, including functional, integration, stress, and performance testing for precision instruments.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and present technical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
