Introduction

IBM Storage is seeking a new team member to join our worldwide Storage Protect team, primarily supporting customers in North America.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Technical Support Engineer Professional, you will interact remotely with clients, handling their cases efficiently and accurately. You will utilize our knowledge database, techniques, and procedures, documenting case details and action plans for deploying workarounds or fixes. Key skills include troubleshooting, analysis, root cause determination, resolution, and effective communication in English, both written and verbal.

You will collaborate closely with the development team to perform complex analysis and debugging, contributing to the improvement of the Storage Protect product's quality, functionality, and usability.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Solid experience in customer support.
  • Basic knowledge of Storage, OS, Server products, and Networking.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong rapport-building skills with customers.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Prior experience as a technical support engineer.
  • Advanced knowledge or certification with Storage Protect family, Servers such as AIX, Linux, Windows, and Cloud.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
