• Strong backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.

• Mentoring and architectural decision-making capability.

Responsibilities

• As an architect and technical specialist (primary focus): owner of the area’s main initiatives, from design to production delivery, accountable for end-to-end results
• Design and build reliable integrations and automations between internal and external systems (REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, messaging, asynchronous processing)
• Develop backend solutions in Java (Spring Boot/Hibernate) and evolve automation workflows in n8n, our standard tool
• Design and implement solutions with LLMs — orchestration of calls, context/prompt handling, and integration of these capabilities into real product and operational flows
• Define the architecture, resilience patterns, observability, error handling and the guardrails for critical integrations and automations, with scalability in mind
• As technical lead: provide technical direction to the team: priorities, architectural decisions and review of the most sensitive deliverables
• Technical mentoring and code review, raising the team’s level of seniority
• Ensure that automation and AI solutions follow governance and safe-use guidelines (approved tools, traceability, human review for sensitive actions)

Requirements

• Strong experience (senior/specialist level) in backend development with Java, Spring Boot and Hibernate
• Practical experience designing and operating system integrations (APIs, messaging, event-driven architectures, automation and asynchronous processing)
• Experience with relational databases and SQL (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
• Experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, SQS, S3, API Gateway)
• Maturity to act as a technical reference — mentoring, code review and architectural decisions
• Reading-level English (technical documentation)
• Autonomy to drive ambiguous, high-impact problems end-to-end
• We’d love if you have:
• Experience with n8n or equivalent platforms (Zapier, Make, Airflow)
• Experience integrating LLMs via API (OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock) into applications — orchestration, context and prompts
• Knowledge of RAG, embeddings and vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone)
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex)
• Experience with Node.js
• Experience with observability and testing of critical integrations
