Overview

Here at OTI, our innovative sampling tools and diagnostics unlock access to accurate, essential information that advances global health and well-being. Our products include molecular sampling kits for the genome and microbiome, and rapid diagnostics for infectious disease.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Tax Accounting: Responsible for the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international tax documents. Responsible for quarterly and year-end provision calculations for US and international subsidiaries. Assist in developing tax strategies and policies to ensure compliance with laws. Handle US sales tax and related filings. Support month-end general accounting activities.

Responsibilities include:

1. Preparing and gathering data for federal, state, and international compliance for subsidiaries.
2. Preparing quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations.
3. Supporting tax process improvements.
4. Assisting with transfer pricing issues and special projects.
5. Supporting tax impact assessments of M&A activities.
6. Gathering data for R&D Tax Credit calculations in the US, Canada, and UK.
7. Preparing the U.S. UNICAP calculation.
8. Managing sales tax filings and exemption tracking using software.
9. Preparing tax memos and documentation.
10. Assisting with tax audits and research.
11. Supporting month-end close activities.
12. Performing ad hoc analyses and duties as required.

Qualifications:

• 4-year college degree in Accounting.
• 2-3 years experience in tax preparation or tax accounting.
• Knowledge of US GAAP standard ASC740, Income Taxes.
• Knowledge of US Tax Laws including Sections 162(m), 263A.
• Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets.
• Experience with Avalara software is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and multitask.

The salary range is $62,000 - $107,000 USD, with eligibility for an annual bonus. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and promote diversity and inclusion in our workplace.
