A leading company is seeking a Tax Accountant to assist the Tax Manager with direct tax responsibilities, including tax compliance and preparing Federal Income returns. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in tax accounting. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on various accounting projects and initiatives.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of relevant tax accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of income tax and sales/use tax.

Tax Accountant

Role:
The Tax Accountant will report to and assist with the organization's Tax Manager on day to day direct tax responsibilities. This would include direct taxes / tax accounting, Sales & Use Tax, Property tax, tax compliance, appeals, preparing Federal Income returns, provisions, as well as assist with other departments on special projects including general accounting, consolidations, FP&A, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the annual and monthly tax returns for sales, use, as well as property taxes.
• Assist with preparation of annual Federal and State tax provision workpapers
• Prepare state apportionment, allocation and overpayment workpapers
• Assist the audit department in regards to gathering information for sales, use as well as property tax audits
• Prepare filing of quarterly and annual estimated payments, & extensions
• Prepare gross receipts, sales tax, a property tax returns and processing.
• Participate in and support ongoing projects/initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree. Master's in Tax or MBA is a plus
• CPA or EA is preferred but not required
• 2+ years of relevant tax accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of income tax, sales and use tax, etc.
