Job summary

STATS CHIPPAC MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking an Engineering (Process/Equipment) professional to address complex manufacturing challenges, lead automation projects, and improve product quality across the plant.

You will assess automation technologies, support Autonomous Mobile Robot deployment, and collaborate with Quality, Equipment and Software teams to deliver practical, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience or knowledge of AOI, Tape & Reel and packing operations.
• Automation and control systems awareness is preferred.
• Experience delivering automation projects for manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor AOI, Tape and Reel, and Packing operations for yield and quality issues.
• Lead process improvement activities and projects as assigned.
• Create and review Process Specifications and Work Instructions.
• Perform root cause analysis using 8D/DMAIC methods.
• Collaborate with Quality, Equipment, and Suppliers to resolve issues.
• Develop and implement Autonomous Mobile Robot systems with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct system integration, testing and troubleshooting for deployment.
• Optimize robot performance to meet operational requirements.
• Coordinate with software and hardware teams for seamless communication.

About the role

This Engineering (Process/Equipment) role solves difficult problems through assessment of various techniques and approaches to develop appropriate, creative and practical solutions. Solutions typically result in improved products, processes or quality. The position provides leadership to make a difference and operates plant-wide, affecting operations across all aspects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor AOI, Tape and Reel, and Packing Label line sustaining for any yield loss or quality-related issues like recipe optimization
• Execute process improvement projects activities as assigned by supervisors
• Create and review technical documentation including Process Specifications and Work Instructions, Engineering Change Notices, Material and Equipment Dispositions and OCAP, FMEA, Control Plan and MSA worksheets
• Perform root cause analysis on process issues through the use of standard quality tools (8D, DMAIC) and generate and implement corrective actions
• Engage with cross-functional groups such as Quality Engineers, Equipment Engineers, Customer and Suppliers to drive down process and equipment issues
• Develop and implement the Autonomous Mobile Robot system in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Conduct system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure successful deployment
• Optimize and fine-tune the robot's performance to meet operational requirements
• Collaborate with software and hardware teams to ensure seamless communication and functionality

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge in AOI, Tape and reel or Packing operations
• Understanding of automation and control systems is preferred
• Experience in the design and implementation of automation projects for manufacturing processes is preferred
• Project management skills to ensure timely and successful project delivery
• Independent self-starter to drive to meet operation goals
• High level of commitment and passion
