Team Development: Support team growth by providing opportunities, coaching, and ongoing appreciative and constructive feedback.
Provider and Process Management: Oversee four warehouse providers, two freight providers, and one importation provider, and manage the strip stamp ordering process to ensure its availability at production plants.
Import and Inventory Management: Monitor the entire import process, from demand planning to cargo release for local warehouses, and conduct bi-annual inventories in warehouses with monthly controls and reconciliation.
IBP and Logistics Leadership: Lead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process by partnering with the commercial team to review sales forecasts, understand changes, and lead market consensus meetings. Negotiate, evaluate, select, and manage logistics operators and carriers, including leading provider transitions through the RFQ process.
Implementation and Execution: Support the implementation and execution of New Product Development (NPD), portfolio changes, packaging changes, Route To Consumer (RTC) changes, trade contingencies, etc., and coordinate with bonded warehouses for co-packing services, including relabeling, strip stamp additions, gift carton and shipper additions, and value-added packing.
Global Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work with the global logistics and customer service team to resolve logistics and importation issues impacting Brazil's supply, and maintain effective communication and collaboration with key stakeholders, building strong relationships with the Brazil Executive Leadership Team.
Customer Service and Procurement: Oversee the customer service management team and procurement process, optimizing inventory costs, warehousing, and freight.
Distribution Strategy and Sales Management: Develop and manage the distribution strategy for Brown-Forman Brazil, handle sales and transfer invoices issued in Brazil, and implement and update Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) monthly, including logistics costs, customer deliveries, inventory obsolescence, case fill rate/out of stock, Slow Moving and Obsolete Goods (SMOG), and inventory value.
Risk Management Liaison: Coordinate with Risk Management on the insurance of Brown-Forman Brazil, including finished goods, warehouses, and freight.
What You Can Expect
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field AND 10+ years of supply chain management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in international supply chain management.
Demonstrated experience in SO&P management, demand and supply planning.
Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in English and Portuguese, both spoken and written.
Demonstrated experience managing a team with a commitment to providing regular, constructive feedback and coaching ability.
Extensive understanding to Brazil regulations and legislation as it pertains to importation requirements and customs clearance.
Proven experience managing 3PLs suppliers and leading and executing RFQ ( Request for Quotation) processes.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making skills, supported by great analytical abilities and excellent presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills enable effective communication and relationship-building across diverse cultures and all levels of internal and external contacts. A self-starter with the proven ability to identify issues, plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects to completion by specific deadlines.
Proficient in MS Office applications, Google applications, as well as SAP ERP.
