Visa Inc. is looking for a Tax Manager in Brazil, focused on overseeing tax compliance and supporting global initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Brazilian tax law, with strong analytical and project management skills. This hybrid role involves leading tax strategy and managing audits while working collaboratively with various stakeholders. Ideal candidates should possess at least 8 years of experience and relevant academic qualifications.
Reporting to the regional Director of Tax – LAC, this position will perform a variety of functions with a particular focus on supporting VISA’s Brazilian operation from a tax perspective. Responsibilities will include providing tax support to the Brazilian executive / business leadership and the different teams in the market on new business initiatives, business restructurings, international tax, legislative updates, local tax compliance, managing of tax audits and controversy, and support the growth and development of the rest of the team.

Basic Qualifications
•8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
•Sound technical knowledge and practical experience dealing with Brazil tax issues for multinational entities.
•Strong accounting and analytical skills with the ability to research and apply tax law.
•Ability to operate independently in a detail oriented and hands-on environment.
•Team oriented, self-motivated, and takes ownership of projects with strong project management skills and sense of urgency. Ability to work with limited supervision and proactive / results oriented.
•Be able to communicate tax issues clearly and interact effectively with senior executives and global teams through various areas of the VISA organization.
•Support the growth and development of more junior member of the team.
•At least 10+ years with major public accounting firm, law firm or multinational corporate experience.
•Very good interaction and collaboration with VISA’s tax, controllership and business teams, throughout transition to localize tax functions and day-to-day operations.
•English and Portuguese required (spoken and written). Spanish is a plus.
