Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Sr Systems Engineer to join our Technology team and help shape the future of global commerce. You will support client-facing systems and applications while driving issue resolution in a 24x7 processing environment.

In this role you’ll own managing hardware and software, monitor for abnormal conditions, and respond quickly to resolve errors. A strong background in financial services tech, mainframe or open systems, and English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of financial services industry and mainframe and/or open systems operating systems.
• Ability to use production control tools and resources to analyze and respond to all system processing errors.
• High school diploma or GED; higher degrees or experience may be required at higher career levels.

What you'll bring

• Knowledge of financial services industry and mainframe and/or open systems operating systems.
• Ability to use production control tools and resources to analyze and respond to all system processing errors.
• High school diploma or GED required - Associate’s, bachelor’s or the equivalent experience may be required at higher career levels.
• Advanced English
• Technical knowledge: Linux, Shell script, PostgreSQL, SQL ANS, Connectivity and networks, ISO8583, JSON, Monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana and Nagios
