The role involves facilitating Scrum processes, guiding team practices, and mentoring other Scrum Masters. Ideal candidates have a robust understanding of Agile methodologies and possess excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese.

Position Summary
Rimini Street is responsible for scoping, designing, developing, and delivering software updates for a variety of tax, regulatory compliance, and reporting updates across more than 190 countries for Clients using our service.
The Senior Scrum Master role is integral in supporting and coaching our software development teams in improving and sustaining their practices based on Agile principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Schedules and facilitates regular Scrum events for the team, keeping the purposes and desired value in view throughout.
Assists and guides the team in the identification and removal of impediments for the Scrum team.
Coaches the Scrum or Kanban team in the values and practices of Scrum and Kanban.
Guides the Product Owner in keeping the Product Backlog in good shape and prepared for the next Sprint(s).
Guides the team in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices.
Prepares and provides training in the Agile mindset and in Scrum and Kanban practices.
Works closely with management to provide visibility on team health, progress, and impediments, identifying opportunities and making recommendations.
Interfaces with other teams (both Agile delivery teams and teams in other organizations) to coordinate and manage activities/dependencies, working together to improve the flow of value delivery to clients.
Works with management on scaling practices to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall delivery system.
Mentors and guides other Scrum Masters in the work group for their individual development, increased system-level learning, and incremental improvement.
Coordinates and collaborates with the organization's Agile Coach for extending visibility, learning, and improvement across the organization.
While this is a Remote position, the candidate must reside in Brazil and be able to travel occasionally to the Rimini Street office in São Paulo for group activities and training.
Education
Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience
Experience
Minimum 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master
Minimum 10 years of experience in technology industry
Skills
Comprehensive understanding of Agile principles, and Scrum & Kanban software development methodologies, values, and practices
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types
Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
Competency in the use of JIRA and Confluence
Strong command of both Portuguese and English languages
Language
Fluency in both English & Portuguese is required.
