Amazon is seeking a highly capable Sr Launch Program Manager for Global Engineering Services. This role focuses on leading strategic launches, coordinating with multiple teams, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will drive end-to-end delivery, manage ambiguity, and communicate with senior leadership across global sites.

You will partner to build new initiatives, optimize cross-team processes, and travel up to 50% to support launches in 20 countries and 5 continents.

Sr Launch Program Manager, Global Engineering Services

The Launch team is seeking a qualified candidate to solve the complex challenges of progressive innovation to drive efficiencies at operational benchmark rates. We are looking for a customer-obsessed Program Manager with proven program management experience and a strong track record of delivering results to own and execute highly strategic launches, in addition to driving multiple complex projects across one or more programs.   • Are you deeply curious to learn local and international cultures, languages, engineering standards, vendor and business environments in 20 countries and 5 continents? This role involves traveling up to 50%.
A day in the life
  • Effectively managing the Road to Launch process, which ultimately allows for a building hand-off that passes operational readiness testing and sets the operations team up for success;
  • Managing day-to-day relationships with multiple Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Sort Centers (SCs), and Delivery Stations (AMZL);
  • Coordinating GES and Operations stakeholders to exceed Amazon standards for the launch of new sites or expansions of existing buildings in order to achieve operational success;
  • Deep diving existing processes to identify defects or opportunities for process improvements;
  • Compiling, managing, and reporting on weekly project metrics;
  • Driving multiple projects to optimize, standardize, and/or improve processes within and outside of launch.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in driving process and tool improvements
  • Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in French, Spanish, German or Italian
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or equivalent field
  • Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls
  • French, German, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese (Mandarin), Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications
