Job summary

Ball Corporation in Brazil is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to lead SAP FI/CO across a global IT landscape. You will drive design, configure, test, and govern finance processes with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Strong hands-on SAP FI/CO with cross-module experience.
• Experience with Account-to-Report, Plan-to-Stock, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash.
• Experience in global SAP environments with offshore teams.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and proper documentation.
• Advanced English; Spanish desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as functional lead for SAP FI/CO with MM/SD/PP/PS integration.
• Own end-to-end Account-to-Report processes (GL, AP, AR, Bank Reconciliation, Asset Accounting, CO etc.).
• Translate financial and controlling requirements into optimized SAP solutions.
• Perform SAP configuration, integration testing, and UAT support.
• Prepare functional specs, solution proposals, test scripts, and process docs.
• Support projects through all phases from requirements to go-live and hypercare.
• Ensure compliance with global design standards, controls, and change management.
• Provide AMS support and continuous process improvements.
• Troubleshoot SAP finance/CO issues including period-end close.
• Assist integration with banking interfaces, tax solutions, and external reporting.

As a Senior Functional Analyst - SAP FI/CO , you will act as a critical link between Global IT and business stakeholders, driving the design and delivery of SAP Finance and Controlling solutions across a global environment. You will contribute to strategic projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational excellence while helping shape and govern global SAP finance processes.

• Act as the functional lead for SAP FI and SAP CO, ensuring effective integration with related SAP modules including MM, SD, PP, and PS.
• Support end-to-end Account-to-Report processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Projects, Product Costing, and COPA.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate financial and controlling requirements into optimized SAP solutions.
• Perform SAP system configuration, integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare functional specifications, solution proposals, test scripts, training materials, and process documentation.
• Support projects through all phases, from requirements gathering to go-live, hypercare, and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure compliance with global design standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and change management processes.
• Provide support for AMS activities, system enhancements, and continuous process improvements.
• Troubleshoot SAP finance and controlling issues, including financial postings, reconciliations, and period-end close activities.
• Support integration initiatives involving banking interfaces, tax solutions, and external reporting systems.

• Experience with financial closing, asset accounting, costing, and profitability analysis.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and documentation standards.
• Advanced English communication skills. Spanish is desirable, but not mandatory.
• SAP Academy certification preferred.
• Experience working in a global SAP environment with international and offshore teams preferred.
• Leadership, ownership, and strong collaboration skills across business and technology teams.

Additional Information

• Location: São José dos Campos/SP
• Hybrid On-Site Work Environment (living at São José dos Campos) or 100% Remote (living far from of São José dos Campos region): This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) or remote from the location of the candidate. Remote work may also be considered, depending on the candidate’s distance from the Ball office.
