Job summary

GSS Finance South America in Rio de Janeiro is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to manage period-end closings and deliver timely financial statements for the region.

You will collaborate with business units to identify and document project financials, ensure ECD/SPED compliance within legal deadlines, support tax analysis, and drive improvements across the accounting process. This is a temporary 9-month position based in Brazil.

Responsibilities

• Execute period-end closing activities within deadlines (bookings: payroll, fixed assets, taxes, ERP local system, bank transactions, supplier payments, employee reimbursements)
• Collaborate with Business Units to identify, prioritize, execute and document project financials, invoices and other controlling
• Ensure the correct ECD/SPED report within the legal deadline
• Support the Tax team with analysis of direct and indirect tax accounts
• Analyze the whole accounting process and suggest improvements
• Managing preparation and delivery of management accounts and statutory accounts reports
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations/analysis on a monthly basis (suppliers, receivables, payroll, taxes, assets, bank and intercompany)
• Application of CPC’s/IFRS
• Other accounting duties as assigned & Ad-hoc reports
