Hikma Pharmaceuticals in Algiers is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our finance team. You will manage costing activities, fixed asset records in SAP, and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls.

The role requires 2–5 years in costing or fixed assets, strong analytical and Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will participate in quarterly inventory counts and provide root-cause analyses to support decision-making.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of costing and/or fixed assets accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or pharmaceutical.
• Strong knowledge of costing, inventory and fixed asset accounting.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills; proficient in Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Costing: ensure activities comply with standards and policies.
• Maintain and update standard costs; analyze variances with root-cause analysis.
• Oversee inventory scrapping via review of documents and investigations.
• Follow up on WIP and process orders to month-end closure.
• Monitor inventory valuation and assist with obsolete stock provisions.
• Fixed Asset: maintain SAP asset register, classify assets, and track depreciation.
• Process asset additions, transfers, retirements and disposals.
• Manage CWIP/AUC and ensure capitalization upon project completion.
• Participate in quarterly and annual physical asset counts.

Main Responsibilities

Costing

• Ensure costing activities comply with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Maintain and update standard costs.
• Analyze variances between actual and standard costs and provide detailed root cause analysis and recommendations.
• Oversee and approve the inventory scrapping process by reviewing supporting documents and conducting the necessary investigations.
• Follow up on weekly basis the work in prosses (WIP).
• Follow up on monthly basis the prosses orders and ensure to be closed before the end of month.
• Monitor inventory valuation and support slow-moving / obsolete stock provision analysis.
• Participate on quarterly and annual inventory counts.

Fixed Asset

• Maintain the fixed asset register in SAP, ensuring accurate classification, useful life, and depreciation methods.
• Process asset additions, transfers, retirements, and disposals.
• Manage Capital Work in Progress (CWIP/AUC) and ensure timely capitalization upon project completion.
• Participate on quarterly and annual physical count of the fixed asset count by tagging prosses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in costing and/or fixed assets accounting, preferably within the manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of costing principles, inventory accounting, and fixed asset accounting.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of IFRS and internal control practices is an advantage.
