Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is hiring a Solutions Engineer to join the Cisco team for Splunk products in Brazil. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to Brazilian customers, leading discovery, designing deployments, and delivering live demos.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in pre-sales or solutions architecture, strong communication, and experience with security and observability platforms; travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• : 2+ years of experience in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.
• Knowledge of SIEM/SOAR and observability (APM/Infrastructure Monitoring) is preferred.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for executives.
• Experience with large-scale data platforms or log management; Splunk certification preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to lead technical workshops and whiteboard sessions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical lead during the sales cycle, engaging manufacturing customers.
• Design and architect Splunk deployments across enterprise IT, cloud, and digital systems.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations and PoC engagements highlighting real-time threat detection and observability.
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Product Management, and Professional Services to align capabilities with roadmaps.
• Present thought leadership at industry conferences and internal forums on cyber resilience and observability.
• Create reusable technical assets, white papers, and demo environments for enterprise security use cases.

Your Impact

This role serves as a trusted technical advisor, helping our customers harness the power of data to drive digital transformation and operational resilience. Focus on empowering brazilian customers to secure their digital infrastructure and ensure peak performance through sophisticated Security (SIEM/SOAR) and Observability (APM/Infrastructure Monitoring) strategies. The ideal candidate is a consultative expert who can translate complex technical telemetry into high-impact business outcomes.

• Technical Partnership: Act as the primary technical lead during the sales cycle, conducting high-level discovery sessions to understand the unique cybersecurity and performance challenges of manufacturing clients.
• Solution Architecture: Design and architect robust Splunk deployments that aggregate data from enterprise IT environments, cloud architectures, and digital business systems to provide unified visibility.
• Value Demonstration: Develop and deliver customized product demonstrations and Proof of Concept engagements that highlight the value of real-time threat detection, incident response automation, and full-stack observability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Account Executives, Product Management, and Professional Services teams to align Splunk’s capabilities with the digital roadmap requirements of the manufacturing sector.
• Thought Leadership: Present at industry conferences and internal forums on the importance of cyber resilience, modern observability, and the role of data analytics in digital transformation.
• Strategic Enablement: Build reusable technical assets, white papers, and demo environments tailored to enterprise security and observability use cases.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years shown experience in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting.
• Understanding of modern security frameworks (SIEM, SOAR, threat detection) and/or observability principles (APM, infrastructure monitoring, digital experience monitoring).
• Ability to translate sophisticated technical concepts into clear business value for executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience working with large-scale data platforms or log management solutions; Splunk certification or equivalent platform expertise is highly preferred.
• Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead technical workshops and whiteboard sessions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-native monitoring and security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of modern application architectures, including microservices, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in data modeling, scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash), and API integration.
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards relevant to enterprise IT.
• Previous experience working within a global manufacturing organization or a specialized software provider serving the manufacturing industry.
• Ability to travel to customer sites to conduct on-site assessments and strategic planning sessions.
