Your role and responsibilities

As a Development Support Engineer, you will work within the Office of the CIO. You will fulfill a critical role on the IBM App Services team, sharing responsibility for a CI/CD pipeline supporting Mobile and Mac applications. Your duties include deploying, maintaining, and optimizing the CI/CD pipeline, supporting development teams, and ensuring a smooth, automated, and secure release process. Key focus areas are troubleshooting build and signing issues, enhancing automation workflows, and enforcing best practices. You will collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure our tools meet stakeholder needs.

We expect you to bring strong technical experience, engagement, and communication skills, partnering with platform engineering and other services to realize our strategic vision. Managing complex technical challenges across multiple organizations and stakeholders is essential.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Proficiency in Bash scripting and task automation
• Knowledge of Ruby and Fastlane for mobile automation
• Experience with macOS Terminal and Xcode
• Practical experience with Jenkins
• Experience with packaging automation and software distribution
• Familiarity with GitHub and collaborative versioning practices

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Experience with ADEP (Apple Developer Enterprise Program)
• Knowledge of Provisioning Profiles, Certificates, and Bundle IDs
• Understanding of Signing and Notarization processes for Apple software distribution
