About The Role

Seeking a backend-focused Software Engineer for the Payments Team. You will design and build APIs, services, and systems for crypto onramp and offramp infrastructure, working across the stack to launch features, enhance scalability, and contribute to technical strategy. This role offers high ownership and impact.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain backend services for our crypto platform used globally
• Design APIs and data pipelines ensuring high availability and fault tolerance
• Collaborate with product, compliance, and business teams to launch features
• Coordinate with partners and vendors for payment integrations
• Contribute to technical roadmap, developer tooling, and workflows
• Participate in on-call support to maintain system health

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years in web backend development
• Proficiency in Ruby
• Experience with APIs, services, and data pipelines
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, proactive learning
• Frontend experience is a plus
• Proven reliability in production systems
• User-first mindset and empathy
• Industry experience in crypto, fintech, or banking, especially fraud prevention or compliance (bonus)
• Fluent in English

Compensation:

Base pay $50,000 - $70,000 + equity, with upside potential and benefits. Compensation varies based on location, experience, and performance.
