We are hiring a Software Engineer - L3 Support to…
…work in a dynamic engineering role involving Linux-based infrastructure and applications, covering all layers of the stack, including bare metal, virtualization (KVM), containerization (Docker/LXC/LXD), storage (Ceph and Linux filesystems), networking (OVS, OVN, Core networking), OpenStack, Kubernetes, and open source applications. This role challenges you to demonstrate a broad range of engineering skills to work on various aspects of Ubuntu and open source applications used by large enterprises.
This position offers an opportunity for Linux and open source enthusiasts to build a career with Canonical, supporting customers, community, and the company. If you are passionate about open source, have good communication skills, and enjoy troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, you'll thrive here.
You will handle critical issues in the open source stack requiring upstream bug fixes. Our engineers work across the stack, including the kernel, using multiple languages, to understand and resolve software issues. Our team is vital to our customers, partners, and Ubuntu’s success.
Your responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving issues with workarounds, guidance, and upstream bug fixes.
