Jeppesen Fore Flight is seeking a Software Engineer II based in Singapore to join our Professional Services team. You will configure and tailor our Crew and Ops management software for airline customers, capturing requirements and delivering optimized solutions.

You will work with cross‑functional teams, communicate effectively with clients, and contribute to ongoing improvements while traveling within the APAC region as needed.

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Computer Science / Physics Engineering / Industrial Engineering or equivalent programming experience.
• Experience with Unix / Linux environment.
• Strong team player and excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Configure the application to the airline customer environment and client needs.
• Capture requirements, develop and configure the software, and perform testing.
• Engage in optimization modelling, tuning and value proposition improvements for clients.

About the Position:

The Professional Services department is responsible for the configuration and delivery of our Crew and Ops management products to airline customers and to make sure that we deliver solutions that our customers truly need. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in our Singapore location. This is an opportunity to be part of a skilled team of developers that solve some of the most challenging optimization problems in the world, value diversity and learn from each other.

Position Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer you will work closely with our clients and configure the application to their business environment. We are looking for developers with strong communication skills, both inside a team and towards clients, who can explain decisions and technical solutions in a pedagogical and confident way. The successful candidate is good at dealing with technical challenges and programing tasks as well as handling client expectations and building long-term customer relations.

Your tasks will include; understanding the client's needs, capturing requirements, developing and configuring the software, optimization modelling/tuning, verifying and testing and continuous exploration of how to improve and increase the value proposition to our clients.

For these positions it is vital that you are passionate about learning the Airline business and that you see yourself contributing to workshops and communicating with different stakeholders as part of the requirements gathering process.

All positions will be based in Singapore, and the candidate need to be able to travel to our customers from time to time as part of the job. Mainly within APAC region.

Basic Qualifications / Competencies (Required)

• MSc or BSc in Computer Science / Physics Engineering /Industrial Engineering or equivalent programing experience
• Experienced with Unix / Linux environment
• Strong team player qualities
• Demonstrates strong communication skills in the English language.
