Job summary

GlobalFoundries seeks a versatile software engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications using modern engineering practices.

You will build back-end services with Python/Flask and REST APIs, and craft responsive front-ends with Angular/React/Vue while integrating with manufacturing databases and enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, Electrical & Electronic Eng. with Data Science or related field.
• Experience with Python & Flask for backend development.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework (Angular, React, or Vue).
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, and structured data.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern software development practices.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in learning and applying Generative AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in code reviews, defect triage, performance tuning, and continuous improvement activities.
• Follow software engineering, cybersecurity, data governance, and Responsible AI best practices.
• Use Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing to deliver features safely and efficiently.

• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern software development practices.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in learning and applying Generative AI technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building full-stack web applications and enterprise software solutions.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and related services.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies, RAG systems, AI assistants, or agent-based applications.
• Exposure to agent frameworks such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Pydantic AI, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with MCP, tool calling, or workflow automation concepts.
• Exposure to manufacturing, semiconductor, or industrial environments.
