Job summary

CAE is seeking a Simulator Technician I in the São Paulo area to perform routine technical tasks on simulators in laboratory, field, or on-site environments, building proficiency in maintenance and support activities.

You will participate in training, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, document actions in CMMS, support refurbishment and hardware modifications, and ensure compliance with CAE Quality Management requirements while delivering timely customer support.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics/Avionics or equivalent technical training.
  • 0–2 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with computer systems.
  • Experience soldering and circuit-board repair.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in English

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine technical tasks on-site, in the field, or in a laboratory.
  • Participate in training related to laboratory, office, plant, and field-based technical work.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on simulators and related systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving simulator issues.
  • Utilize maintenance management systems to document and track maintenance activities.
  • Complete all required training activities.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight simulator activities on designated devices.
  • Perform basic visual alignments.
  • Execute automatic QTG testing.
  • Support simulator refurbishment activities and hardware modifications.
  • Comply with CAE's Quality Management System requirements and procedures.
  • Provide timely customer support and respond to customer needs.
  • Perform housekeeping and maintenance-related activities to support simulator readiness.
  • Support logistics activities, including receipt of parts, repair coordination, testing, and validation tasks.
  • Complete administrative activities as required.
  • Support the Technical Services team with additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree (2-year technical diploma) in Electronics, Avionics, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • 0-2 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing operational requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation.
  • Experience using electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics principles.
  • Basic computer proficiency and understanding of computer systems and architectures.
  • Experience performing soldering and circuit board repair activities.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting flight simulators or simulation systems.
  • Experience working in a maintenance, electronics, avionics, aerospace, or technical service environment.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience supporting customer-facing technical operations.
