The Role

As a Senior Technical Solution Manager (Mainframe Storage) at Kyndryl, you will develop, test, and maintain software controlling operating systems, hardware, and systems software. You will troubleshoot complex issues, ensure system security, and collaborate on cutting-edge technology designs. Your responsibilities include providing platform programming support, guiding technical objectives, conducting RCA discussions, and leading professional teams. You may also manage departments at a national or international level, defining objectives and managing resources.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the technology landscape, influence outside departments, and work in a fast-paced systems programming environment.

Who You Are

You have proven experience in mainframe technical support and system programming, with a growth mindset, customer focus, and inclusivity. Required skills include:

• Experience with mainframe OS, storage systems, and interfaces with z/OS, data structures, databases, and I/O.
• Knowledge of IT strategies, trends, change, incident, and problem management, vendor relationships.
• Advanced IBM z/OS Mainframe Storage skills, including GDPS, Global Mirror, XRC, and related technologies.
• Proficiency in storage administration tools and understanding of VSAM, IDCAMS, and IBM storage platforms.
• Programming skills in Java, Python, C, C++, and operating systems like Linux, UNIX, or z/OS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred skills include experience with NetView/SysView, FTP, SFTP, Connect: Direct, and GDPS environments.
