- Provide guidance and perform configuration of equipment and real-time data acquisition systems, prepare specifications, develop, deploy, and evaluate new technologies. Plan and execute projects, perform diagnostics and maintenance, and provide support at Operations Centers and substations, ensuring the effective operation of ISA Energia's electrical system, working autonomously and guiding the team as needed.
- Monitor non-forced events through ISA Energia systems, analyze and suggest operational and maintenance actions to resolve supervision and control anomalies and ensure availability of the oscillography data collection system.
- Plan and execute point-to-point tests, verifying data consistency between local SCADA, the Operations Control Center, ONS and other agents, as well as integrate and analyze the performance of new systems and equipment.
- Plan and carry out maintenance activities for configurations and single-line diagrams of the SAGE supervision and control system, and the evolution and maintenance of automatic oscillography collection systems, phasor measurement systems and historical systems (PI – AVEVA and PostgreSQL).
- Prepare technical specifications, participate in proposal evaluations, assess new technologies, plan and execute projects, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and implement hardware, software and systems related to the department and to the Supervision and Control of the Electric Power System.
- Lead and execute configuration, deployment and maintenance activities for the SAGE supervision and control database at the Control Center and substations, providing necessary configurations for substation data acquisition and distribution to ONS in compliance with network procedures.
- Plan and perform site acceptance tests (TAC) and factory acceptance tests (TAF) on network architectures, systems and applications according to IEC 61850 standards, ensuring correct operation and standardization of local SCADA systems in substations.
- Perform commissioning tests, measurements and surveys of circuits and electrical equipment via the supervision and control systems installed at substations to ensure compliance with ISA Energia standards and ONS network procedures.
- Define guidelines, analyze and validate configuration studies and power flow modeling of the Electric Power System within the State Estimator and Power Flow subsystems.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Automation and Control Engineering.
- Advanced experience with Supervision and Control Systems (SAGE), including database administration and State Estimator (EMS) modeling.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux (Red Hat, CentOS and Rocky Linux), Windows Server, virtualization and VMware environments.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols and SCADA systems, such as:
- IEC 60870-5-101
- IEC 60870-5-104
- ICCP
- DNP3
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP computer networks and communications infrastructure for electrical systems.
- Advanced knowledge of ONS (Brazilian National System Operator) procedures and submodules related to Supervision and Control.
- Analytical ability for incident diagnosis and troubleshooting in critical operational environments.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and database administration.
- Knowledge of Cyber Security for OT (Operational Technology) environments.
- Knowledge of protection of power systems applied to power transmission.
- Experience with automation and scripting development using languages such as Python, Shell Script, PowerShell or similar.
- Knowledge of SAP PM and the Microsoft Office suite.
