Jobtailor in São Paulo, Brazil seeks an experienced Incident Response Engineer to lead triage, investigate alerts, and drive remediation for complex incidents in large-scale distributed systems.

You will leverage Python, C++, and SQL to debug pipelines, analyze logs, and develop runbooks, SOPs, and permanent fixes, collaborating with engineering teams locally.

Qualificações

• Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation and pipeline debugging.
• Solid experience in C++ for analyzing and debugging large codebases.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, data analysis and pipeline diagnostics.
• Experience with distributed systems and/or infrastructure.
• Experience with incident management and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced log analysis skills.
• Experience debugging pipelines in large-scale systems.
• Experience with runbook-driven processes.
• Experience in structured defect analysis and classification.
• Strong root cause analysis (RCA) skills.
• Excellent technical documentation skills.
• Good communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Availability to collaborate with Engineering teams in São Paulo.

Responsabilidades

• Lead triage, investigation and remediation of complex alerts
• Investigate incidents and alerts outside SLOs using runbooks, log analysis and diagnostic tools
• Execute pipeline replays, reruns and technical analyses to identify root causes
• Use development tools, debugging techniques and AI/LLMs to accelerate investigations and problem resolution
• Identify recurring defect patterns and establish structured root-cause classifications
• Contribute to the evolution of defect taxonomies together with Engineering stakeholders
• Provide structured technical feedback to development teams
• Support identification of permanent fixes and reduction of incident recurrence
• Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs and operational procedures
• Establish standardized remediation paths for incidents
• Manage triage, routing and escalation of incidents
• Support quality audits and governance processes
• Participate in status meetings, delivery reviews and other operational cadences
