Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience in fast-paced environments, including 3+ years operating at Staff level or above.
• Portfolio demonstrating AI-powered product design.
• End-to-end ownership of AI or ML product design from concept to scale.
• Strong multidisciplinary UX, UI, interaction, and visual design.
• Deep understanding of AI design principles, including prompts, conversational UX, agentic workflows, human-in-the-loop, trust.
• Ability to collaborate with machine learning engineers and AI researchers.
• Experience using AI tools in design workflows.
• Strategic leadership to influence product direction and align teams.
• Mentorship and development of designers.
• Adaptability in ambiguity and prioritization.
• Data-driven mindset with experimentation and user research.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Staff Product Designer to define and lead the design vision for an ambitious AI product ecosystem. In this strategic role, you will shape next-generation experiences across conversational AI, intelligent agents, and automated workflows. You will drive the evolution of AI-powered products, creating seamless interactions that simplify complex business processes and deliver meaningful customer value. Working closely with product, engineering, AI specialists, and senior leadership, you will influence product strategy and establish design excellence across multiple teams. You will also lead and mentor a growing team of designers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Accountabilities

• Lead AI Design Strategy: Define and drive the overall design direction for AI products, conversational interfaces, intelligent agents, AI labs, and developer experience tools. Establish how AI capabilities are integrated across the platform, including proactive notifications, anomaly detection, in-chat actions, and automated workflows.
• Drive Design Excellence: Establish and formalize design standards, reusable interaction patterns, and quality guidelines for AI-powered experiences. Ensure consistency across teams while encouraging innovation in conversational and agentic interfaces.
• Shape Product Strategy: Identify high-impact opportunities, lead complex design initiatives, and influence strategic decisions through compelling design narratives and customer insights. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to establish priorities and align product direction.
• Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, AI specialists, researchers, and business partners to ensure cohesive experiences and successful product delivery. Partner with design system teams to integrate AI-specific interaction patterns and workflows.
• Own Execution and Outcomes: Lead complex and ambiguous problem spaces, establish success criteria, make prioritization decisions, and remove blockers to maintain momentum. Take accountability for delivering high-quality AI experiences that generate measurable customer and business impact.
• Champion Research and Customer Insights: Develop research practices within the AI design organization, conduct competitor and market analysis, and establish feedback loops and dogfooding initiatives to continuously improve product quality.
• Mentor and Develop Designers: Lead, coach, and support product designers, providing constructive feedback, promoting professional development, and turning successful experiments into scalable design practices.
• Ensure Product Ecosystem Consistency: Collaborate with other design leaders to establish seamless transitions between conversational AI, agent-driven actions, and the broader platform experience.

Requirements

• Professional Experience: At least 8 years of product design experience in fast-paced environments, including 3+ years operating at Staff level or above, with experience leading complex product areas.
• AI Product Design Expertise: Demonstrated experience designing AI-powered products, including conversational interfaces, chatbots, copilots, intelligent agents, or automated workflows. A portfolio showcasing relevant projects is essential.
• End-to-End Product Ownership: Proven experience leading AI or machine learning product design from initial concept and zero-to-one development through iterative scaling and continuous improvement.
• Design Expertise: Strong multidisciplinary capabilities across UX, UI, interaction, and visual design, with the ability to create intuitive, engaging experiences for complex workflows.
• AI and Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of AI product design principles, including prompt design, conversational UX, agentic workflows, human-in-the-loop interactions, progressive disclosure, and trust calibration.
• Technical Collaboration: Ability to work closely with machine learning engineers and AI researchers, understanding technical concepts and translating them into effective interaction models, error states, and confidence thresholds.
• AI Tool Proficiency: Active experience using AI tools in design workflows, including prototyping, research synthesis, design exploration, and code-assisted design.
• Strategic Leadership: Strong ability to influence product direction, communicate complex ideas, manage stakeholder expectations, and align cross-functional teams around shared objectives.
• Mentorship and Team Development: Experience coaching and developing designers, providing constructive feedback, and raising design quality and strategic capabilities across teams.
• Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and creating clarity in rapidly evolving environments while balancing user needs and business objectives.
• Research and Data-Driven Mindset: Strong commitment to evidence-based design, experimentation, user research, and measurable product outcomes.
