Jobtailor is seeking a skilled data platform engineer to help develop and maintain the organization's data governance and metadata management product. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to architectural decisions.

The role emphasizes cloud native development, microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, and observability, with agile practices and ongoing evaluation of new technologies.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, information systems, or related field.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Proficient in Java and Python development.
• Experience developing in AWS and/or OCI.
• Strong systems analysis, architecture, and OO design.
• Experience containerizing with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiar with observability tools: New Relic, Grafana, Splunk.
• Knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, YAML, and Terraform.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.

• Develop and maintain the organization's data governance management platform.
• Contribute to the analysis and definition of implementations for new technologies.
• Participate in defining and implementing the architecture of the services maintained by the team.
• Work in development teams that employ agile methodologies.
• Evaluate new market technologies and frameworks for continuous improvement of products and processes, conducting proofs of concept.
• Maintain and develop features of the data platform, specifically the organization's metadata management product.
• Build services, microservices, and products that meet the needs of the organization's data teams from both data governance and data engineering perspectives.
• Build mechanisms that ensure the management, discovery, and awareness of the various data sources available to the organization's engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with version control using Git.
• Experience with Java and Python.
• Experience developing in AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift) and/or OCI (AI DP).
