Jobtailor is seeking a data architecture leader to design modern data architectures and govern data assets across analytical and operational environments in Brazil. You will work with engineering, BI, data science, and Generative AI teams to ensure technical cohesion and business alignment.

The role requires hands-on data engineering, strong data modeling skills, and experience with Azure tools. You will influence governance practices and mentor multidisciplinary squads while engaging

Qualificações

• Proven experience in data architecture on high-complexity projects.
• Hands-on data engineering experience in ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and deployment of pipelines.
• Proficiency in data modeling (relational, dimensional, and event-driven).
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft ecosystem tools: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL / SQL Server, Power BI, Purview, Fabric (desirable).
• Knowledge of data governance practices, LGPD, lineage, and cataloging.
• Ability to provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary squads.
• Strong communication skills and a product-oriented mindset.
• Microsoft data certifications (DP-203, DP-500, DP-600, DP-700, etc.) (desirable).
• Experience with AI projects, MLOps, and intelligent automation (desirable).
• Experience with multi-cloud environments (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of modern data architectures (Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Medallion, etc.) for analytical and operational environments
• Collaborate with engineering, BI, Data Science, and Generative AI teams to ensure technical cohesion and alignment with business objectives
• Define standards for data modeling, ingestion, processing, and governance
• Support the construction of scalable pipelines using DataOps and CI/CD practices
• Make technical decisions based on hands‑on data engineering experience
• Conduct technical reviews and advise on tool selection and best practices
• Engage with business stakeholders and clients' executive teams to recommend fit‑for‑purpose and sustainable solutions

Requirements

• Proven experience in data architecture on high‑complexity projects
• Strong foundation in data engineering, with hands‑on experience in ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and deployment of pipelines
• Proficiency in data modeling (relational, dimensional, and event‑driven)
