Senior Software Engineer (C++ & Java) - Remote

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with experience in distributed storage systems and proficiency in C++ and Java. This role involves working with an international team in the Communication Services sector, contributing to critical systems, and working remotely within the USA time zone.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software using C++ and Java.
2. Contribute to projects involving distributed storage systems such as Apache Cassandra, Apache Druid, and StarRocks.
3. Work within a Linux environment and utilize Bash scripting.
4. Collaborate across multiple teams in an agile environment.
5. Maintain and improve container-based environments (Docker).
6. Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
7. Learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python and/or deeper expertise in Java.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Bazel for build/test automation of large-scale multi-language projects.

Location & Schedule

• 100% remote.
• Availability to work during USA business hours.
