About the Role
As
Senior Research and Development (R+D) Manager, you will lead our R+D program on deploying ERW as a CO2 removal technique in Brazil, focusing on agronomic trials. Your responsibilities include designing experiments, managing data, and interpreting results to monitor agronomic parameters and answer fundamental research questions. You will be based in Brazil, with onsite presence as needed.

Core working relationshipsReporting to the Head of Science and Research, you will collaborate with the science and operations teams, particularly with the Science and Impact Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage team members within R+D
- Plan and oversee R+D activities, including experiment design and stakeholder communication
- Analyze, present, and publish experimental data
- Support operations with scientific evidence for farmer pitches and case studies
- Drive research and science team strategy
- Manage collaborations with global researchers, focusing on Brazil
- Travel within Brazil for experiments and partner visits
You can be a Rock-Star if you have
Core Skills & Experience- PhD (or equivalent) in Soil Science, Agronomy, Earth Science, Geochemistry, Biogeochemistry, or related fields
- 5+ years in senior research or related roles
- Experience in R+D, experimental design, especially in agronomy
- Successful research projects and publications in high-quality journals
- Experience working with industry, government, and academia
- Knowledge of geology, geochemistry, weathering, and agronomy
- Fluent in Portuguese and advanced in English
- Based in Brazil
