Ultimate Jet Vacations is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to lead quality across our product suite. This hands-on role focuses on building automated testing, defining strategies, and partnering with Engineering and Product to deliver reliable software.

You’ll mentor QA engineers and help shape how testing is approached across the organization, ensuring early detection of risks and improved release quality. Remote options may apply; strong English required.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing or QA.
• Strong automation experience with Pest, Jest, Playwright, Appium.
• Strong programming in PHP, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Experience CI/CD integration for automated tests.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies and risk-based testing.
• Experience with Jira/TestRail/Zephyr.

Responsabilidades

• Define test strategies and plans for new features and product initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to identify risks and determine testing requirements.
• Develop and execute automated, manual, regression, and exploratory tests.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI, API, integration, and regression tests.

• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Monitor results, troubleshoot failures, and track quality metrics.
• Mentor other QA engineers and promote QA best practices.

Role Mission

At Ultimate Jet Vacations, technology plays a critical role in delivering reliable experiences to our customers and internal teams.

We're looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer to lead quality efforts across our product suite. This is a hands-on role focused on building automated testing, defining testing strategies, identifying risks, and partnering closely with Engineering and Product to deliver reliable software.

You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor other QA engineers and help shape how quality and testing are approached across the organization.

Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning

• Define test strategies and plans for new features and product initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to identify risks and determine testing requirements.
• Develop and execute automated, manual, regression, and exploratory testing strategies.
• Test Automation
• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI, API, integration, and regression tests.
• Build and improve automation frameworks using tools such as Pest, Jest, Playwright, or similar.
• Identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and improve test reliability.

CI/CD & Quality Engineering

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Monitor test results and troubleshoot failures.
• Establish and track quality metrics such as test coverage, defect rates, and flaky tests.

Defect Management

• Identify, document, and track defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Work closely with developers to identify root causes and validate fixes.
• Perform exploratory testing for complex or high-risk features.

Mentorship & Process Improvement

• Mentor other QA engineers and review test plans and automation code.
• Promote QA best practices across the Engineering organization.
• Evaluate and introduce new testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Participate in performance, load, security, or accessibility testing when applicable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, QA, or a similar role.
• Strong automation experience with tools such as Pest, Jest, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
• Strong programming/scripting skills in PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of test planning, regression testing, risk-based testing, and QA methodologies.
• Experience with Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Bonus Points

• Experience with performance/load testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Gatling.
• Experience testing microservices or distributed systems.
• Security or accessibility testing experience.
• Previous QA leadership or mentoring experience.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent.
