Job summary

Stefanini LATAM Digital Hub is seeking a Senior QA Analyst – Test Engineer to join our team in Brazil. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for web apps, APIs, and backend systems, ensuring quality and reliable releases in an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate has strong Java automation skills, API testing proficiency, and experience with CI/CD pipelines. Advanced English is required, and CLT/full-time employment is offered with a 12-month project duration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in Software QA or Test Engineering with automation focus.
• Strong hands-on experience developing automated tests using Java.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, JUnit, and Cucumber.
• API testing with Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI; SQL data validation.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure Pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and Jira for defects.
• Knowledge of BDD, Agile practices and quality engineering concepts.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Analyst – Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Java-based test automation to join our team.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions across web applications, APIs, and backend systems. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure software quality, identify defects, and support reliable releases in an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate has a solid technical foundation, strong automation skills, and experience working with CI/CD processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber, and REST Assured.
• Develop and execute API tests using REST Assured, Postman, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Perform SQL queries to validate application data, database integrity, and expected results.
• Integrate and execute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices to create test scenarios aligned with business requirements.
• Support functional, regression, integration, and load/performance testing activities.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using Jira.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to improve test coverage and software quality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvements in testing processes.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or Test Engineering, with senior-level automation capabilities.
• Strong hands-on experience developing automated tests using Java.
• Practical experience with Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, JUnit, and Cucumber.
• Solid knowledge of API testing using Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and database testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure Pipelines.
• Understanding of BDD methodologies, Agile practices, and software testing principles.
• Experience using Git for version control and Jira for defect tracking.
• Familiarity with load and performance testing concepts.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1), with the ability to participate in technical discussions and produce clear documentation.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with JMeter or Gatling for performance testing.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of TestRail, Zephyr, or similar test management tools.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent QA credentials.
