AgileEngine is seeking a QA Automation Engineer in Curitiba, Brazil to drive quality across the SDLC. You will build regression automation scripts, perform manual testing, and participate in refinement and planning with the product team.

You will use tools like Playwright, Postman, Jest, and GitHub Actions, writing clear test documentation and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure release readiness and high quality for Fortune 500 and startup clients.

Qualificações

• 3+ years in software quality assurance
• Experience with automated testing
• Experience with Gherkin for behavior-driven development
• Experience with prompt engineering and QA tooling
• Degree or relevant experience in CS/Engineering

Responsabilidades

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails and correlate failures to bugs.
• Identify and elevate risks to quality of product or process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout SDLC and releases.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for planning.
• Use GitHub to maintain automation repos and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of software.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.
• Identify and elevate any risk to quality of the product or the process.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.

MUST HAVES

• 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.
• Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Postman, JMeter or any other object-oriented based automated testing framework.
• Experience with testing support functionalities such as GitHub Actions, LambdaTest, SendGrid, Datadog, PagerDuty.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development.
• Understanding of quality management systems and quality control processes.
• Background in data-based testing and/or security-based testing.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant experience.
