Ultracon seeks a QA Engineer with strong REST API test automation, Web UI automation, Core Java, SQL, and Linux experience. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for Web applications and APIs to ensure quality, performance, security, and reliability of enterprise software.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to review requirements and define test strategies; participate in CI/CD and continuous testing activities across agile teams.

About the Position

We are seeking a QA Engineer with strong experience in REST API test automation, Web application UI automation, Core Java, SQL, Linux, code coverage analysis, and AI-enabled testing tools. The professional will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions for Web applications and APIs, ensuring the quality, performance, security, integration, and reliability of enterprise applications. The role involves collaboration with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders, as well as participation in continuous testing and software delivery activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for REST APIs and Web applications.
• Create and maintain test automation frameworks using Core Java and industry-standard automation tools.
• Develop API test suites to validate functional, performance, security, and integration requirements.
• Build and maintain UI automation scripts for regression and functional testing of Web applications.
• Write complex SQL queries for test data validation, backend verification, and database testing.
• Perform code coverage analysis and identify automation gaps to improve testing effectiveness.
• Use AI-powered testing and productivity tools to improve test design, defect detection, and automation efficiency.
• Execute tests in Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot application and test automation issues.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to review requirements and define test strategies.
• Analyze test results, register defects, and perform root cause analysis.
• Work with development teams to support defect resolution.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release validation activities.
• Contribute to CI/CD and continuous testing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java programming.
• Experience developing test automation frameworks.
• Strong experience with REST API test automation.
• Experience with REST API testing tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with Web application UI automation.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, or similar Web UI automation tools.
• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries and validating databases.
• Working knowledge of Linux commands and server environments.
• Experience with code coverage analysis tools.
• Knowledge of quality engineering best practices.
• Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar solutions to improve testing productivity.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies, the Software Development Life Cycle, and the Software Testing Life Cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of test reporting and defect management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure.
