Brightgrove Ltd. is seeking a Contract Platform Engineer to build, operate and evolve a cloud-native platform supporting digital products and high-scale applications.

You will manage Kubernetes platforms, implement Argo CD workflows and contribute to infrastructure modernization across AWS and OCI environments. The role emphasizes developer experience, reliability, and standardising delivery practices, in collaboration with diverse engineering and product teams.

Qualificações

• Strong hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and a track record of platform reliability.
• Experience with Argo CD or another GitOps platform and modern deployment workflows.
• Solid knowledge of Helm, Kustomize, Kubernetes YAML and Git workflows.
• Cloud experience with AWS, OCI or similar environments.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployment approaches.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins or CircleCI.
• Strong troubleshooting across Kubernetes, networking, observability and deployments.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Datadog or CloudWatch).
• Clear documentation and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and improve Kubernetes platforms (EKS, OCI/OKE) and related cloud environments.
• Build and maintain Argo CD-based deployment workflows and Git-based delivery processes.
• Support modernization and migration of workloads between clouds, infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD automation.
• Create reusable platform patterns, templates, tooling, and runbooks for developer enablement.
• Improve monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting and operational visibility across platforms.
• Assist with RBAC, namespace isolation, secret management and secure access to platform resources.
• Collaborate with application, CMS, Sports, Media, QA, Network Engineering, Shared Services and InfoSec teams.

The team is looking for a Contract Platform Engineer to build, operate and evolve a cloud-native platform supporting digital products and high-scale content and consumer applications.

The role focuses on Kubernetes, GitOps, cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, observability and platform reliability, with a strong emphasis on improving developer experience and standardising delivery practices.

You will work closely with application engineering, DevOps, product and infrastructure teams to support workload migration and modernization across AWS and OCI/OKE environments.

This is a hands‑on contract role covering platform delivery, migration support, operational reliability and developer enablement.

Responsibilities

• Kubernetes & Platform Operations: Operate and improve Kubernetes platforms across EKS, OKE and related cloud environments, including troubleshooting workloads, networking, ingress, DNS, secrets and resource health.
• GitOps & Deployment: Build and maintain Argo CD-based deployment workflows, ApplicationSets, App-of-Apps patterns, environment-specific configurations and production sync strategies. Work with Helm, Kustomize, OCI charts and Git-based delivery workflows.
• Cloud Migration & Infrastructure: Support the modernization and migration of workloads between AWS and OCI/OKE, covering infrastructure, networking, secrets, ingress, observability and deployment changes. Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD automation.
• Developer Experience: Create reusable platform patterns, templates, tooling, documentation and runbooks that help application teams deploy and operate services more efficiently.
• Reliability & Observability: Improve monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting and operational visibility across shared platforms and application workloads.
• Security & Operations: Support RBAC, namespace isolation, AppProjects, secret management and secure access to platform resources. Troubleshoot deployment failures, Argo CD drift, Helm issues and production incidents.
• Collaboration: Work closely with application, CMS, Sports, Media, QA, Network Engineering, Shared Services and InfoSec teams.

Skills

Required:

• Strong hands-on production experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Argo CD or another GitOps platform
• Strong knowledge of Helm, Kustomize, Kubernetes YAML and Git workflows
• Cloud experience with AWS, OCI or similar
• Experience with Docker and containerised application delivery
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins or CircleCI
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Kubernetes, networking, ingress, DNS, secrets and deployment pipelines
• Working knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Datadog or CloudWatch
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Preferred:

• Argo CD ApplicationSets, AppProjects and multi-cluster deployments
• OCI Helm charts and registries such as GHCR or OCIR
• External Secrets Operator, AWS Secrets Manager, OCI Vault or HashiCorp Vault
• Terraform, OpenTofu, Crossplane or similar IaC tools
• Experience migrating workloads from AWS EKS to OCI OKE
• Ingress, load balancers, WAF/CDN and edge technologies such as Fastly or Cloudflare
• Multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms, including RBAC, namespaces, quotas and policy enforcement
• Grafana LGTM, OpenTelemetry or managed observability platforms
• Scripting/development experience with Go, Python, Bash, TypeScript or similar
