SBM Offshore is seeking an Operations Engineer to oversee and optimize daily offshore and onshore operations. You will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production while supporting engineering and maintenance teams across offshore platforms and shorebases.

You will manage budgets, drive cost reductions, and deputize as Operations Manager when required. The role requires a mechanical, petroleum, or chemical engineering background and strong knowledge of HSSE standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical, or related field)
• Experience in the oil and gas industry
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the oil and gas industry

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and manage daily operational activities at the shorebase.
• Monitor and optimize operational processes to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to onshore and offshore teams.
• Liaise with logistics, maintenance, and production to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance and identify improvements.
• Analyze operational data and prepare reports for management review.
• Participate in planning and execution of projects and shutdowns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure availability of materials and services.

Purpose

• As Operations Engineer you oversee the coordination and execution of operational activities to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role involves managing daily operations, optimizing processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and providing technical support to the onshore and offshore teams.
• You ensure safe and continuous running of the operation both onshore and offshore. You meet budgetary constraints and optimization for cost reductions and you deputize as Operations Manager as and when required

• You ensure effective communication and coordination between all stakeholders.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical, or related field).

Experience

• Experience in the oil and gas industry
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the oil and gas industry
