What You’ll Do

Blackpoint Cyber specializes in cutting-edge cybersecurity threat hunting, detection, and response technology. We are seeking an experienced ML Engineer to serve as the technical lead for our machine learning team within the AI business unit. This role involves supporting Blackpoint’s cybersecurity mission—helping to prevent cyber-attacks and safeguarding our expanding customer base.

Summary:

As an ML Engineer, you will develop and enhance Blackpoint Cyber’s machine learning solutions to support our AI products and features, reporting directly to the Head of Artificial Intelligence.

Who You Are:

We are looking for someone with:

• At least 5 years of hands-on ML engineering experience, with a proven record of deploying AI products into production.
• Expertise in designing well-architected systems emphasizing efficiency, performance, security, and reliability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively across teams and influencing stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring:

Experience in:

• Cloud-based ML infrastructure (AWS)
• Model development and deployment (SageMaker, Airflow)
• Inference streams and event-driven processing (Kafka, Spark)
• MLOps workflows (Airflow, MLflow, Kubeflow)
• Pipeline automation (AI CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code)
• ML governance (versioning, monitoring, testing)
• Containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Scripting languages (Python, Bash)
• Query languages (SQL, Ksql)
• GitFlow and DevOps best practices

Nice to Have:

• Transformer neural networks
• Agile Scrum experience
• Programming skills in Scala or Java
• Experience in cybersecurity, IoT, or NLP fields

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Develop, optimize, and deploy ML models.
• Design and manage model building and serving infrastructure.
• Implement ML workflows as containerized Infrastructure as Code.
• Build and automate container pipelines for training, feature engineering, and inference.
• Conduct performance, load, and deployment testing.
• Develop ML governance utilities for oversight.
• Implement best practices for data, feature, and model lifecycle management.
• Contribute to AI architecture and design decisions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security Operations Center, and Adversary Pursuit Group teams.
