Job description

Company Overview

At Bridgenext, we engineer Growth Operating Systems. Most enterprises have spent millions on their revenue stack and still aren't seeing the growth they expected. They have tools that function, but no system that wins. We help growth-hungry companies close that gap by turning fragmented platforms, siloed teams, and disconnected data into one integrated Growth OS. More than a technology company or marketing agency, we're a global digital consultancy with experts in engineering, data, AI, creative and more.

Our teams are made up of experts who believe in engineering impact, starting with putting people at the center of everything we do. Every team member directly shapes our work, culture, and values. Nothing matters more to us than a kind, respectful, fulfilling environment that supports everyone. Our flexible, inclusive culture gives you the autonomy, resources, and opportunities to thrive.

Position Description

We are looking for a Senior / Lead UX/UI Designer to be the first UX/UI professional on the client team. You will work embedded with product and engineering squads, combining hands‑on design execution with the responsibility of establishing the UX practice from the ground up: defining how design works, setting the quality bar, and laying the foundations for a future team. The role operates in a regulated MedTech environment, so rigor, traceability and compliance‑aware design are part of daily work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build the practice. Establish the UX/UI practice: define design processes, ways of working with Product and Engineering, handoff standards, documentation and review rituals.
  • UX evangelism. Advocate for the value of UX across the organization, building awareness and buy‑in with stakeholders who may be new to working with a dedicated designer.
  • Design strategy and growth. Define the scope, priorities and a roadmap for design capacity; identify when and what profiles will be needed as the team grows.
  • End‑to‑end design. Own end‑to‑end design across the SDLC: discovery, definition, ideation, prototyping and user testing.
  • Complex enterprise flows. Design complex, data‑heavy and workflow‑driven enterprise applications (commercial, CRM, complaints, analytics and dashboards), including patterns such as progressive disclosure and conditional logic.
  • Regulated environments. Design flows adjacent to regulated processes (FDA‑related, internal compliance), partnering with QA, Regulatory and business stakeholders to document decisions and keep traceability.
  • Design system. Create and maintain the design system foundations (components, patterns, guidelines) from scratch, ensuring consistency across squads sharing the same platform.
  • Cross‑functional partnership. Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Engineering leads; translate business needs into clear design specs and support implementation through to QA.
  • Research. Plan and run user research (interviews, usability test, synthesis) and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
  • AI‑augmented workflow. Integrate AI into the design practice (research synthesis, QA of designs, documentation, prototyping) with measurable before/after impact.
  • Leadership. Set the standard for future designers, and mentor and onboard them as the team grows; contribute to capability building and design culture.
  • Stakeholder communication. Communicate design rationale and progress clearly to stakeholders at different levels, adapting the message to each audience.

Workplace: This is an hybrid role open to candidates with ability to commute 2-3 days per week to the office in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Must Have Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with solid experience leading design in complex enterprise products.

  • Solid knowledge of UX research methods, information architecture, interaction design, accessibility (WCAG) and data visualization.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and with design systems.
  • Experience as the first or only designer in a team, or setting up a design practice, processes from scratch.

  • Advanced English (written and spoken) for daily collaboration with US‑based teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in MedTech, healthcare, life sciences or other regulated industries.
  • Hands‑on experience applying GenAI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Kiro) in design workflows, working within client‑approved tooling.
