AgileEngine is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer in Porto Alegre, Brazil to design, operate, and improve enterprise IT systems and infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments.

Role focuses on Windows/Linux administration, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, and cloud integrations with Active Directory and identity management. You will contribute to automation, disaster recovery, and runbooks, while collaborating with security and network teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Strong Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and dependencies across compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
• Experience with Active Directory or comparable identity platforms, enterprise authentication, privileged access, and service-account management.
• Infrastructure lifecycle management, patching, vulnerability remediation, change control, incident management, and technical documentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across multiple technology layers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise infrastructure across on-prem, data centers, cloud.
• Administer and support Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, storage, backup, file services, and core infrastructure.
• Support AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud infra, including compute, storage, networking, access controls, and monitoring.
• Support identity and access services, including Active Directory and cloud identity management.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, patching, lifecycle replacements, capacity expansions, and decommissioning.
• Monitor infrastructure health, availability, performance, capacity, backup status, and security signals.
• Respond to incidents, lead root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, operate, and improve the systems and infrastructure behind corporate IT services and business applications.

MUST HAVES

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of progressive experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure and understanding dependencies across compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services.
• Experience with Active Directory or comparable identity platforms, enterprise authentication, privileged access, and service-account management.
• Experience with infrastructure lifecycle management, patching, vulnerability remediation, change control, incident management, and technical documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across multiple technology layers and teams.
• Experience building or maintaining automation and repeatable operational processes.
• Ability to create clear implementation plans, assess risk, define rollback procedures, and execute changes in a controlled manner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
