You will ensure secure data exchange, collaborate with engineering and implementation teams, and deliver scalable solutions. Your role will also involve troubleshooting technical challenges and supporting integration playbooks to ensure smooth client experiences.Position Title: Senior Implementation EngineerLocation: Remote-LATAMWhat you will be doing:You will be responsible for integrating Pegasus Insights software with third-party systems such as financial institutions and ERPs. Your main focus will be on designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful API integrations that ensure secure and efficient data exchange. You will work closely with engineering, implementation teams, and clients to deliver scalable and reliable solutions that meet business needs. In addition, you will troubleshoot technical challenges, provide ongoing support for integrations, and contribute to the creation of integration playbooks, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful API integrations between Pegasus Insights and third-party systems like financial institutions and ERPs.
• Ensure secure and efficient data retrieval and processing using Python and Flask.
• Implement SFTP and modern authentication methods such as OAuth2 and API keys to facilitate robust data exchange.
• Collaborate with engineering, implementation teams, and clients to deliver scalable and high-quality integrations for financial workflows.
• Resolve technical challenges and provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of integration playbooks to streamline processes.
• Facilitate seamless backend/frontend communication, particularly using React, and adapt to various cloud environments (AWS and Azure).
• Leverage SQL and SQLAlchemy for database management and optimization.
• Follow version control best practices using Git to ensure smooth code management.
• Utilize basic infrastructure tools like Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and environment management.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering or implementation roles, focusing on integrations.
• Strong proficiency in Python, particularly with the Flask framework for RESTful API and backend service development.
• Advanced understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and modern authentication methods, including OAuth2 and API keys.
• Intermediate experience with SFTP protocols for secure file transfers.
• Proficient in SQL, with experience in using SQLAlchemy, query optimization, joins, indexing, and stored procedures for integration workflows and data validation.
• Intermediate experience using Git for maintaining high code quality and version control in collaborative environments.
• Advanced problem-solving skills with a proactive, client-focused approach.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Basic familiarity with frontend technologies, particularly React, for backend integration tasks.
• Beginner-level exposure to cloud platforms, specifically AWS, with an understanding of client-specific storage like Azure.

Good to Have:

• Experience working in financial services, fintech, or ERP ecosystems.
• Familiarity with banking data formats, such as BAI2 and MT940, or accounting system APIs.
• Basic exposure to infrastructure tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of data connectivity in cloud environments, particularly AWS and Azure.
• Understanding of frontend/backend integration patterns with beginner-level React knowledge.
• Certifications in AWS or Azure as a value addition.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse client teams and explaining technical concepts.
