AOA is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer who thrives in solving complex technical challenges and delivering high-quality digital products. This role is ideal for a problem solver who is passionate about engineering excellence, scalable architectures, and high-performance solutions.

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will play a key role in architecting and developing SaaS platforms and eCommerce storefronts, primarily within the Shopify Plus and Headless Commerce ecosystem. They will collaborate closely with designers, strategists, and other engineers to build and enhance web applications that balance functionality, speed, and scalability. Responsibilities will include architecting and implementing full-stack solutions, integrating third-party services, optimizing performance, and ensuring code quality through best development practices. This role requires expertise in both frontend (React, Next.js) and backend (Node.js, AWS, and APIs) technologies.

Responsibilities

1. Key Outcome: deliver high-quality technology solutions that AOA is known for with predictability and efficiency
2. Lead end-to-end development of web applications, contributing to both frontend and backend code
3. Design and implement scalable architectures using NodeJS and AWS ecosystem
4. Develop and deploy performant frontend applications using React
5. Work closely with clients and project managers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions
6. Provide technical expertise during client meetings, offering insights into the development process and potential enhancements
7. Efficiently communicate project estimates and lead planning poker for user stories
8. Work within an agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and ensuring timely delivery of features.
9. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential application in our development process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, with a focus on both frontend and backend development
• Strong proficiency in React and frontend frameworks
• Strong proficiency in NodeJS and AWS infrastructure
• Expertise in building complex systems, microservices, and integration with third-party APIs
• Strong familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Leadership skills with a proactive approach to collaboration and team problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a client-focused environment, preferably within an agency.
