BBST - BrazilBoeing Brazil is seeking a Senior Electrical Cabin Systems Engineer, reporting to the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office.
The Senior Electrical Cabin Systems Engineer will join the team to defining and integrating airplane electrical systems across our commercial fleet.
This position will be assigned to work with Cabin Systems Team which includes In Flight Entertainment, Cabin Services System, Cameras and Sensors, interior lighting, passenger address systems, seat back video and more.
All projects center on the translation of concepts and high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications including the physical integration of electrical systems and components into our complex airplanes. Work with a worldwide supplier base to implement system hardware and software. Validate designs through both laboratory and airplane testing. Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and through their production life. We are continually evolving the state of the art in commercial air transport.
Position Responsibilities:
Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
Research and interpret engineering data including drawing specs, CATIA/CAD models, Installation plans and various maintenance procedures to develop systems requirements
Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
This position is hybrid/telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
Must have a degree in Engineering.
Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
Experience working in a professional environment .
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer Engineering.
Relevant experience within Electrical Systems hardware and software design.
In depth experience experience with system design and integration during an airplane development program.
In depth experience experience with equipment design, specification and tests, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g. RTCA DO-160).
In depth experience experience in Electrical design; including but not limited to Electrical Systems design, Wire Design, Electrical Equipment Installation and Wire Installation Design.
Experience with project management skills within a fast paced highly integrated environment
Experience working with cross functional teams.
Experience with in requirement verification and validation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., V-model application on ARP-4754).
Experience with equipment and systems certification under regulatory authorities (e.g. FAA, EASA).
