T-Systems, a German multinational company and part of the Deutsche Telekom Group, is seeking a Senior System Engineer DevOps with a good command of English to work 100% remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize platforms running critical products and services in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or Open Telekom Cloud (OTC).
• Automate, deploy, and maintain infrastructure; proactively monitor systems for performance, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with system architects to translate architectural designs into operational platforms.
• Ensure reliable logging and monitoring using tools like Graylog, Icinga, or similar.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and resolving platform issues.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of routing and firewall strategies.
• Practical knowledge of working with Azure or OTC.
• Experience with ITIL processes such as incident and problem management.
• Extensive experience in system administration (various Linux distributions).
• Proficiency with scripting, automation, test procedures, and certificate handling.
• Knowledge or interest in DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD).
• Experience with GitLab, Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible, Shell scripts, and Python.
• Willingness to learn SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira.
• Operational support experience through troubleshooting and error analysis.

Activities:

Take ownership of platform management, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud infrastructure, working closely with system architects and cross-functional teams.
