We're looking for a seasoned professional to manage communication strategies in Brazil, the largest market in Latin America. We're looking for someone with outstanding skills, extensive experience, and relevant knowledge. The ideal candidate will showcase strong business acumen, sound judgment, and a proven track record of successful execution. This role requires enthusiasm, proactive leadership, and a knack for navigating diverse workloads. As the primary liaison to the company country president and the executive vice president, exceptional communication skills are vital.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement integrated communications plans to maximize the reach and impact inside and outside our organization.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct interviews to support PR and internal communications activities.
  • Support regional executives by generating content for improving internal and external audience engagement.
  • Assist in proposing topics/ideas for external communications about the company and for executive content (contributed articles, Executive LinkedIn).
  • Develop subject matter expertise in Oracle technology, issues that impact our business, and the competitive landscape.
  • Craft compelling story angles to make Oracle product and customer news captivating for top-tier technology and business journalists.
  • Execute media relations programs, including building and nurturing relationships with reporters, ensuring follow-through, and securing coverage.
  • Collaborate with the regional PR team, senior executives, and various departments to uncover compelling story angles and proof points for pitches.
  • Develop and implement integrated communication plans to amplify the reach and impact of news announcements.
  • Create long-form content such as press releases, contributed articles, and executive talking points.
  • Coordinate and conduct customer reference interviews to support PR activities effectively.
  • Generate social media content to bolster product announcements and key marketing campaigns.
  • Cultivate subject matter expertise in Oracle technology, industry issues, and the competitive landscape.
  • Devise innovative strategies for managing relationships with press outlets and influencers.
  • Oversee country-specific communication deliverables, manage PR agency relationships, and allocate resources efficiently, ensuring alignment with stakeholders' objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations preferred.
  • Postgraduate coursework is preferred.
  • Extensive expertise in enterprise technology sectors, including cloud computing, database management, artificial intelligence, security, application development, and analytics.
  • Proven track record of providing communications support and guidance to colleagues on a global scale.
  • Strong pre-existing relationships with technology reporters across business and trade publications, facilitating effective media outreach and coverage.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure and deliver high-quality work consistently.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities, honed over 8+ years of experience in PR and internal communications within the technology industry.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively, prioritize tasks efficiently, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Evaluates and manages new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. Defines vision, strategies, and tactics. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
