About the Role

As part of the Infrastructure Team, you will be part of a team that drives the implementation of core cloud infrastructure components and infrastructure/platform for cloud-native applications, creates tools and services that power our Engineering teams, and collaborates with them, influencing the design and delivery of our footprint.

The Security, Infrastructure & Platform team is a multidisciplinary group focused on scaling our systems securely and efficiently.

The Cloud Infrastructure team provides the components that enable engineering productivity. You will work on building and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure through infrastructure as code, create toolsets and services for the delivery of applications and infrastructure components. Some of these components include container orchestration platforms like ECS, container provisioning engines, configuration and secrets management, provisioning Terraform modules, managing and updating database systems and others.

What You’ll Do

Within 3 months, you will:

• Dive deep into our existing cloud setup (AWS) and IaC (Terraform) to understand how services are deployed, secured, and monitored

• Improve or refactor CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) to reduce friction and improve deployment speed

• Implement guardrails for infrastructure changes, including cost visibility, IAM controls, and policy-as-code

• Work closely with developers to troubleshoot platform issues and ensure smooth delivery of features

Within 6 months, you will:

• Lead the redesign or scaling of key infrastructure components — such as networking, container orchestration (e.g., EKS), or secrets management

• Roll out infrastructure blueprints (e.g., templates for new services, databases, queues) with built-in security, monitoring, and scaling defaults

• Own and evolve our observability stack, improving logs, metrics, traces, and alerting standards across teams

• Drive cost-efficiency efforts by identifying cloud spend bottlenecks and setting up automated monitoring

Within 9 months, you will:

• Co-own the internal platform roadmap and collaborate with engineering leads to prioritize developer experience improvements

• Help design and implement multi-environment strategies (e.g., preview environments, canary deploys, infra versioning)

• Act as a subject matter expert in SRE and cloud security, supporting incident reviews and contributing to infra hardening

• Contribute to our long-term infra evolution, from managed services to self-hosted components, based on business needs

What You’ll Bring

• Experience working with AWS.

• Understanding of cloud networking concepts like VPCs, load balancers, etc.

• Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker.

• Understanding about cloud security concepts, specifically IAM roles and policies, encryption keys, security groups, etc.

• Experience working with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.

• Ability to code in at least one language/script language (e.g. Ruby, Python, Golang, Bash etc.)

• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL is a nice to have.

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using tools like Github Actions or CircleCI.
