Job Overview

Position Summary

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer with Golang experience. This remote position involves managing our backend platform, including API integrations with third-party vendors and partners. As part of our User Tribe, you'll help improve user access and build products that support positive cash flow for users.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into robust technical solutions and lead engineering efforts.
• Design and implement reliable systems within a distributed microservices architecture.
• Build and maintain API integrations with third-party vendors and partners.
• Create reusable code and libraries to foster collaboration and scalability.
• Implement observability best practices with logging, metrics, and alerting systems.
• Document solutions including architecture, APIs, and workflows.
• Monitor systems for performance and scalability improvements.
• Collaborate effectively across teams to align priorities and requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Go/Golang, Java, Python, C++.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, message queuing systems like Kafka.
• Ownership-driven, proactive approach to project management.
