We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer with Golang experience. This remote position involves managing backend platform areas, including API integrations with third-party vendors and partners. As part of our User Tribe, you will help make it easier for users to access Rain and develop products that promote positive cash flow. You will collaborate with international teams to manage a digital wallet for seamless transactions and employer linking.

Responsibilities:

• Translate product requirements into robust technical solutions, recommending alternatives and leading engineering efforts.
• Design and implement reliable systems within a distributed microservices architecture.
• Build and maintain third-party integrations.
• Develop highly available RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Create reusable code and libraries to ensure scalability.
• Implement observability practices with logging, metrics, and alerting systems.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation.
• Monitor system performance and scalability.
• Collaborate across teams to align priorities and requirements throughout the development lifecycle.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Go/Golang, Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong background in scalable distributed systems and microservices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with message queuing systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Flink.
• Ability to own projects from inception to completion, proactively solving challenges.
