Job Summary

IFF is seeking a dynamic individual with strong knowledge and experience in enzymes for the baking industry. The Senior Application Scientist, Bakery Enzymes, will support the growth of our Health & Bioscience business in Latin America. Our division is a leader in industrial biotechnology, developing innovative enzymes and bioproducts to improve performance and reduce environmental impact in the food & beverage industry.

Focus

• Serve customers with technical support for bakery enzyme products, collaborating with our global organization in IFF Health & Biosciences.
• Develop solid technical knowledge of the bakery enzyme portfolio to build customer confidence and rapport. Provide feedback on enzyme performance in large-scale settings.

How You Will Contribute

• Provide on-site technical and operational support to bakery customers, focusing on bakery enzymes, mainly serving industrial bakeries and blending houses.
• Collaborate with sales, regional industry leaders, and colleagues in the bakery application team through customer visits, virtual calls, pilot plant, and production trials, offering technical backup.
• Design and execute pilot plant experiments, including instrumental and sensory evaluations, to optimize product performance.
• Document enzyme effects in technical reports and present data to customers and internal teams.
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities with the sales team and business lead.
• Participate in customer development, internal projects, and product documentation throughout the commercialization process, including formulation, technical documentation, marketing, post-launch support, and patents.
