The Opportunity

As an Financial Controlelr, you will lead end-to-end accounting operations for US-based clients while managing and mentoring a team of accountants. You will operate at the intersection of accounting, leadership, and process transformation, driving accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across financial operations. This role offers direct exposure to US Controllers, CFOs, and founders, positioning you as a key partner in financial decision-making and execution.

What You’ll Do (Impact + Leadership)

• Lead end-to-end accounting (Record-to-Report) for US-based clients
• Manage and mentor a team of accountants, ensuring high-quality deliverables and professional growth
• Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles with a focus on accuracy, speed, and scalability
• Review and finalize financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
• Oversee reconciliations, variance analysis, and issue resolution
• Act as a primary point of contact for US clients, building strong stakeholder relationships
• Partner with Controllers and CFOs to support reporting, insights, and decision-making
• Implement and drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives (AI/tools)
• Ensure audit readiness and manage interactions with auditors
• Build and scale robust accounting processes for high-growth startup environments

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in end-to-end accounting with strong US GAAP expertise
• Prior experience in team management or mentoring is preferred
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, close cycles, and internal controls
• Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth, startup environment
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (US clients exposure preferred)
• CA / CPA (or equivalent) is strongly preferred
