Job description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with strong experience in international accounting and deep knowledge of IFRS standards to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate should be analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting financial operations across the Americas.

Key Responsibilities

• Support accounting activities for operations across the Americas, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS).
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and ensure accuracy of reported results.
• Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper financial reporting and process alignment.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
• Participate in audits (internal and external) by providing necessary information and documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency in accounting processes.

Job requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with active CPA registration (CRC in Brazil).
• Large experience in accounting.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and local accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Experience in preparing financial reports and supporting budget processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with financial systems and accounting software.
• Previous experience working in a multinational company or accounting firm (Big4).
• Experience with ERP platforms (e.g., Protheus).
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus.
