Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Architect to provide technical leadership and trusted advisory to senior customer leaders.

You will design, deliver, and optimize complex Cisco and multi-vendor security solutions aligned with business objectives and modern SecOps strategies. The role requires hands-on experience, strong knowledge of security frameworks, and the ability to mentor delivery teams while collaborating with Sales and Product Engineering to drive product enhancements

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years in cybersecurity/security architecture or equivalent
• Expert-level certification (e.g., CCIE Security) or equivalent credential
• Proven experience in designing, deploying, migrating, and troubleshooting complex enterprise security solutions
• Ability to advise executive stakeholders (IT Directors, CXOs) and cross-functional teams
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (CSF, NIST, ISO), threat modeling, and compliance standards

Your Impact

In this role, you will provide technical leadership and act as a trusted advisor to senior customer leaders and CXOs. You will lead the design, delivery, and optimization of complex Cisco and multi-vendor security solutions, aligning business objectives with modern threat management strategies and AI-driven SecOps.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Strategic Leadership & LAER: Operate within the Adopt & Expandphases of the LAER model, ensuring the successful adoption of solutions and identifying new growth opportunities.
• Architectural Leadership & Strategy: Lead the strategic planning, design, and implementation of end-to-end security architectures, driving architectural convergence across security and broader Cisco technology domains.
• Trusted Advisory: Partner with senior IT leaders and CXOs to assess security lifecycles, threat landscapes, and regulatory drivers, shaping technology roadmaps and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Complex Multi-Vendor Integration: Integrate Cisco and non-Cisco security technologies across heterogeneous enterprise environments, ensuring interoperability, resilience, and policy alignment.
• AI & Automation Enablement: Champion the adoption of AI and automation across security operations (AI SecOps) to optimize delivery workflows, enhance threat detection and response, and develop reusable frameworks and intellectual capital.
• Innovation, Collaboration & Mentorship: Mentor project delivery teams, collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Product Engineering to drive product enhancements, and develop reusable assets and best practices that scale across engagements and elevate delivery standards.

• Market Insight: Develop vertical market expertise to align customer business needs precisely with Cisco’s technical solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of related experience, Master’s + 6 years, PhD + 3 years, or equivalent relevant professional experience in cybersecurity/network security architecture and solution delivery.

-Expert-level certification (e.g., CCIE Security) or equivalent industry credential.

-Proven experience designing, deploying, migrating, and troubleshooting complex enterprise security solutions.

-Demonstrated ability to act as a consultative technical advisor to executive stakeholders (IT Directors, CXOs) and cross-functional teams.

-In-depth expertise in industry security frameworks (e.g., CSF, NIST, ISO), threat modeling, and regulatory compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Hands-on experience with security automation, AI SecOps tools, and modern threat detection/response platforms.

-Current industry trend certifications (e.g., Cloud Security, DevSecOps, or advanced cybersecurity credentials).

-Demonstrated track record in developing reusable frameworks, compliance templates, or whitepapers/intellectual capital.

-Broad architectural understanding across hybrid cloud, enterprise networking, and Cisco security portfolio integrations.

-Prior experience presenting at major technical forums/conferences (e.g., Cisco Live, IETF) and mentoring technical talent.
